Cochin, January 17
Milk shortage is making Kerala restless these days, well to meet the increase in demand for milk, the state is taking the help of neighbouring state Karnataka to meet the demand. The blessed state is running through tough times to get the required quantity of milk. The milk federation with brand Milma is bearing a loss of Rs. 3 per litre, and with the recent price hike in milk rates, the federation is helpless to increase the rates again.
It was learnt that the main factor for this shortage of milk supply is the less interest of people towards this sector. The way the profit percent is declining in this industry day by day, too has been the main reason for people not showing interest in this sector anymore.
With such a low profit margin and more infrastructural cost, milk trade has become a business of loss. This in-turn is making the milk federation to suffer with more deficits to bear along with shortage of supply. So if the situation continues to move in the same way, then the day is not far when keralites will have their tea without milk.
i admit ur views on social antipathy, but don’t create a bad image of Kerala globally. you can also post some positive stories either of always blaming authorities. Do good things for the human kind.
